Public Workshop #2 Held

The City of Montgomery hosted the second public workshop for the Montgomery-Maxwell Air Force Base Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. The Draft JLUS was presented at the meeting, including maps showing areas affected. Attendees had an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments.

The overall goal of the JLUS is to protect the viability of current and future missions at Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex while accommodating growth, sustaining the economic health of the region, and protecting public health and safety.

First Public Meeting Held

Thank You JLUS participants who came to the first public workshop of the Montgomery-Maxwell AFB JLUS. 

The City of Montgomery hosted the first public meeting for the Montgomery-Maxwell AFB Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) on June 2, 2016. The meeting was held at the Montgomery City Hall Auditorium, located at 103 North Perry Street, Montgomery, AL.  The meeting provided the public information about the JLUS process, the importance and goals of a JLUS, and an overview of the compatibility factors that will be assessed throughout the JLUS planning process.
